Prize Draw Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter
    The Promoter is: Urban Nerds Agency Ltd, trading as Urban Nerds Collective, company number: 08499571, registered office address: 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU (“Nerds”) conducting a Research Event on behalf of the Company: Lazy Oaf Limited, trading as Lazy Oaf, company number: 04412845, registered office address: Unit 6 New North House, Canonbury Business Centre, 190a New North Road, London, England, N1 7BJ (“Lazy Oaf”)

  2. The competition
    The title of the Competition is Lazy Oaf Survey Prize Draw

  3. How to enter

    1. You must complete and submit an online response to the Lazy Oaf consumer research survey (a “Research Event”) organised and run by Nerds, either on its own behalf or on behalf of the Company

    2. You make a Competition entry when you submit your registration for the Research Event to Nerds.

    3. You will have submitted your registration for the Research Event when you successfully submit the Research Event questionnaire form.

    4. The Competition will run from 00:00 on 16.04.2021 (the “Opening Date“) to 00:00 on 26.04.2021 (the “Closing Date“) inclusive.

    5. All Competition entries must be received by Nerds via the Research Event questionnaire by no later than midnight on the Closing Date. All Competition entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.

    6. To enter the Competition, you must register for the Research Event online by Closing Date.

    7. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition, and there is no charge for use of Nerds’s website

    8. Nerds will not accept:

      1. responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including or example, as a result of any: equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

      2. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.

  4. Eligibility

    1. The Competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 16 years or over.

    2. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. Nerds may ask the winner to provide proof of age.

    3. The Competition is not open to:

      1. employees of Nerds or its holding or subsidiary companies;

      2. employees of Nerds’s agents or suppliers or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or

      3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

    4. In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Nerds may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.

    5. Nerds will not accept Competition entries that are:

      1. automatically generated by computer;

      2. completed by third parties or in bulk;

      3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or

      4. incomplete.

    6. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

    7. Nerds reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize Competition.

  5. The prize

    1. The prize will be advertised on Lazy Oaf social media and on the Research Event website. The prize for the Competition you are entering will be the one linked to the Research Event you are registering for. If more than one prize is available in relation to any particular Research Event, we will also make this clear. Prizes may include cash incentives of varying value.

    2. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

    3. Nerds will notify winners via direct message or email. In order to claim the prize you must respond to Nerds’ email within 5 working days.

  6. Winners

    1. The outcome of the prize draw is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

    2. Nerds will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the contact details provided with the Competition entry.

    3. Nerds must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Nerds will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails within one month after the Closing Date of the Competition

    4. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Nerds at: Even if you object to Nerds publishing any of these details, Nerds must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  7. Claiming the prize

    1. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have five days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by responding to the direct message or email notification sent to you by Nerds. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.

    2. Nerds will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within five days of the Announcement Date, Nerds reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

    3. Nerds does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  8. Limitation of liability
    Insofar as is permitted by law, Nerds, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Nerds, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  9. Data protection and publicity

    1. Nerds will only process your personal data as set out in its Privacy Policy at: See also clause 6.3 and clause 6.4 with regard to the announcement of winners.

  10. General

    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Nerds may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.

    2. Nerds reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

    3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
